Review - Love & Mercy

I know NOTHING about the Beach Boys and their music, yet still this is one of my favourites films so far this year.

Love & Mercy is a biographical film about musician and songwriter Brian Wilson, of The Beach Boys, directed by Bill Pohlad and starring; Paul Dano, John Cusack, Elizabeth Banks & Paul Giamatti.

The film centers on Brian Wilson's life in the past and the future, played by Dano in the past and Cusack in the future, it shows Brian Wilson's descent into madness while trying to create "the greatest album ever made" meanwhile in the future part, a middle-aged Wilson, who is now a broken and mentally ill man under the legal and healthcare of Dr. Eugene Landy (Giamatti). Wilson meets a Cadillac saleswoman, Melinda Ledbetter (Elizabeth Banks) and they fall for each-other, Melinda tries to save Wilson from Landy's manipulation.

Recap & Review - Gangsta: Episode 1 & 2

Gangsta is an anime based on the manga of the same name by Kohske, and animated by Manglobe.
Gangsta's first two episodes introduced us to the world of Gangsta wonderfully, meeting our main characters, showing the  kind of work they do and setting up a threat for the future.

Review - Dragon Ball Super: Episode 1

When it was revealed that another Dragon Ball anime was coming out i was ecstatic, Dragon Ball was my childhood and watching new content now is something i never thought would happen. The newest DB movie, Battle of Gods was great and introduced some really interesting new characters that fits perfectly into the DB universe. But i'm glad there is even more content now available.

This opening episode of DB Super was a great re-introduction to the DB world, catching up with most of our main characters, while nothing monumental happen, we had small stories that familiarized ourselves with the characters and set up some new threats.

Review - Terminator Genisys

Terminator Genisys is a Sci-Fi/Action film and is the fifth film in the Terminator series, the film is directed by Alan Taylor and stars Arnold Schwartzenegger, Emilia Clarke, J.K. Simmons, Matt Smith, Jason Clarke and Jai Courtney.... unfortunately.

Terminator Genisys is a soft reboot for the franchise, getting rid of most of the things we've seen in the previous film and bringing the story into the present, the film starts as the first one does with Kyle Reese getting sent to the past where he has to protect Sarah Connor, but when he gets there things don't go to plan and an unexpected turn of events creates a new timeline.

Review - Minions

Minions is the newest film in the Despicable Me series, it is Directed by Pierre Coffin & Kyle Balda and stars Sandra Bullock, Jon Hamm, Michael Keaton, Allison Janney & Geoffrey Rush.
I'm glad that they decided to make a Minions movie, the Despicable Me movies are good, but everyone watches them for the Minions and they are always a stand-out, but the problem with making a movie about side characters is will they be able to hold the screen for a full movie? And they do!

This film is a lot of fun and i was laughing the whole way through.
