Review - Doctor Who: "The Zygon Invasion"

On this week's episode of Doctor Who, the Zygons are back and so is Osgood!
"The Zygon Invasion" is a very ambitious episode of Doctor Who, story and production wise, the story this episode is all other the place focusing on several different characters and their plots while the production spanned over several countries like New Mexico.

The Zygons are back this episode, well actually they never left, ever since the 50th anniversary episode which the Zygons were last in, we find out that they've been coexisting on Earth disguised as humans, The 2 Osgoods (human and Zygon version) explain to the audience that like there are bad humans, there are bad Zygons and in this episode the bad Zygons have had enough with pretending to be humans and want to take over the Earth.
The Doctor and Clara are helping out U.N.I.T. with the Zygon problem, unfortunately they're split up during this episode which i never like, i love the chemistry between the two and with Clara leaving at the end of the season i want to see them together as much as possible.
The Clara subplot this episode i found rather boring, until the twist at the end of the episode, which i feel they had the idea for the twist but didn't know how to get there.

The Doctor's plot was slightly more interesting, being the president of Earth, The Doctor goes to find Osgood, who was taken by Zygons, we saw Osgood die at the hands of Missy last season, but the explanation of Osgood still being alive was great, it made perfect sense that there were now two Osgood's thanks to the Zygons.

A theme so far this season in Doctor Who is the hybrid prophecy introduced in "The Magician's Apprentice" earlier this season, with Davros being a Dalek infused with Timelord DNA, also Ashildr in the last 2 episodes is also a hybrid thanks to the chip in her head, now we find out that Osgood is a hybrid, this is definitely going to be a very important thing by the end of the season!

"The Zygon Invasion" is a good episode of Who, the story is weak but the characters and the last minute twist make up for it.
I'm eagerly anticipating next week to see what happens next!
