Review - Dragon Ball Super: Episode 6

In this week's episode of Dragon Ball Super, Goku is trying to figure out how to defeat Beerus, Vegeta is trying to keep Beerus calm and things get hectic at Bulma's party.

After last week's not so great episode, I felt like this episode was a return to form, it was a very funny episode with great character interactions which I loved.



The first scene of the episode was Goku trying to get stronger to defeat Beerus, not too much to say about this scene, it was pretty self explanatory.
The rest of the episode was at Bulma's party, Beerus shows up to find the Super Saiyan God who will be able to fight on his level. When Beerus first appears Vegeta rushes towards him to attack him and all Beerus has to do to stop him is stare. That's how powerful Lord Beerus is! We then get a flashback to Vegeta's childhood and see that Beerus used to come to King Vegeta, and King Vegeta would have to serve him, while Vegeta was watching from the side, seeing his father getting belittled, Vegeta rushes to attack Beerus like he did in the present and is once again knock down by a state! I liked this flashback because it integrated Beerus into characters we know pasts, and makes him more of a character, even though the audience has only just met him, he has been around for a long time.

Yamcha being a fool.

Beerus gets greeted into Bulma's party, saying he is a good friend of Vegeta's, which leads to the funniest scene of the episode. Yamaha meeting Beerus, stating he is the strongest fighter here... He then slaps Beerus on the back like they're old friends, Yamcha is lucky Beerus didn't flip on him!
Beerus keeps getting annoyed by things at the party like Trunks squirting Beerus with a water gun, seeing Vegeta reacting to all of this was great and really shows how far he has come from when he was a villain in early Dragon Ball Z.

Which leads to the end of the episode when Beerus finally gets angry, when Buu wouldn't share any of the pudding! Beerus easily handles Buu and is now in the warpath!
We'll have to wait for next week to find out what happens next!

This episode of Dragon Ball Super delivered on all levels, a good amount of story progression, hilarious humour and a bit of action, I'm looking forward to the next episode!
